Critical review: effect of protein restriction and addition of keto-amino acids in improving renal function in adult patients with stage 3 and 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD)

The objective was to identify the effects of protein restriction and addition of keto-amino acids on the improvement of renal function in adult patients with chronic kidney disease in stages 3 and 4. The clinical question was: Is protein restriction and addition of keto-amino acids Will amino acids improve kidney function in adult patients with chronic kidney disease in stages 3 and 4? The Evidence-Based Nutrition methodology was used. The information search was carried out in PUBMED, SCOPUS, WOS, Elsevier, Springer, finding 27 articles, 08 being selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the Randomized Clinical Trial titled: “Effect of essential amino acids ketoanalogs and protein restriction diet on morphogenetic proteins (FGF-23 and Кlotho) in patients with disease chronic kidney disease in stages 3b-4: a randomized pilot study”, which has a level of evidence I and Grade of Recommendation “Strong”, according to the expertise of the researcher. The critical commentary allowed us to conclude that supplemented protein restriction (LPD) with ketoanalogues of essential amino acids (KA) improves the renal function of adult patients with CKD in stages 3 and 4, making its application recommended to delay the progression of CKD.
Resumen
La Tuberculosis es una enfermedad infecciosa …transmitida por el sistema respiratorio. La presente investigación secundaria titulada como revisión crítica: Efecto de la suplementación de la vitamina D con pacientes en tuberculosis, tuvo como objetivo determinar los efectos nutricionales por vía oral en pacientes con tuberculosis, los estudios clínicos referente a la eficacia de la suplementación de la vitamina D frente a los pacientes con tuberculosis, utilizándose así la metodología Nutrición Basada en Evidencia (NuBE). La búsqueda de información se realizó en PUBMED, MEDLINE, SCIELO, SCOPUS, SCIENCE DIRECT, encontrando 96 artículos, siendo seleccionados 20 que han sido evaluados por la herramienta para lectura crítica CASPE, seleccionándose finalmente un artículo que presente evidencias y a la respuesta clínica planteada, el cual posee un nivel de evidencia I y Grado de Recomendación I, de acuerdo a la expertise del investigador. El comentario crítico permitió concluir que la tuberculosis tiene relevancia para su investigación por profesionales de la salud nutricional y de otros profesionales en general conociendo así diferentes publicaciones sobre la suplementación de vitamina D en pacientes con tuberculosis a nivel mundial y nacional.
