Pressure injuries are preventable, health personnel and specifically nurses, provide comprehensive care; assesses potential signs of risk holistically; and thus emphasize strategies to reduce cases of pressure injuries in the study service and thus reduce morbidity and mortality that increases hospital stay and cost. The objective set out in this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of nurses in prevention and care of pressure injuries in adults – Medicine Service – Barton Hospital – Callao, 2022. Study of hypothetical-deductive method, with quantitative approach, applied type, with non-experimental design, descriptive type, cross-sectional and correlational level; sample made up of 80 nursing professionals, in order to measure the two variables, two instruments will be used, both developed in 2019: Knowledge questionnaire on prevention on pressure injury management and Observation guide on pressure injury prevention and management practices; the collected data will be entered into an Excel 2021 data, then they will be processed in the SPSS version 28.0 statistic and the results will be presented in simple and double-entry tables, with their respective graphs. For the statistical analysis, the tests of "frequency distribution, arithmetic mean" and Chi-square test will be used, for the verification of the hypothesis the mean test will be used.; The conclusions will be formulated according to the objectives set.
Resumen
El objetivo planteado en la presente investigación es determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica del enfermero en prevención y cuidados de lesiones por presión en adultos – Servicio de Medicina – Hospital Barton – Callao, 2022. Estudio de método hipotético-deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con diseño no experimental, tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal y de nivel correlacional; muestra conformada por 80 profesionales de enfermería ,con el fin de medir las dos variables, se hará uso de dos instrumentos elaborados ambos en el año 2019 : Cuestionario de conocimiento sobre prevención sobre manejo de lesiones por presión y Guía de observación sobre de prácticas de prevención y manejo de lesiones por presión; los datos recolectados se ingresarán a una data de Excel 2021, luego serán procesados en el estadístico SPSS versión 28.0 y los resultados se presentarán en tablas simples y de doble entrada, con sus respectivos gráficos. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizarán las pruebas de “distribución de frecuencias, media aritmética” y prueba del Chi cuadrado, para la verificación de la hipótesis se empleará la prueba de medias.; se formularán las conclusiones de acuerdo a objetivos planteados
