There is a large pediatric population that is born with some type of congenital heart disease worldwide. Since they are diagnosed with this disease, primary caregivers generate an overload which increases due to surgical interventions and admissions to a cardiovascular intensive care unit. On the other hand, the nurse specialized in cardiology and cardiovascular care must provide holistic and integrative care, directing her attention not only to the patient but also to the caregiver. The main objective of this study is to determine the relationship between emotional support from nursing and the overload of the primary caregiver of children under 5 years of age after surgery for congenital heart disease in the cardiovascular intensive care unit of the National Institute of Child Health San Borja from February to March 2022. This research is applied from a quantitative approach, hypothetical-deductive method, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population and sample will be made up of 80 primary caregivers of children under 5 years of age after surgery for congenital heart disease in the cardiovascular intensive care unit of the National Institute of Child Health San Borja from February to March 2022. The survey will be applied as a technique and the questionnaire as an instrument. To measure the emotional support variable, a questionnaire created and validated by Roció Álvarez Mita in 2020 will be used, composed of 10 items, it has a Crombach's alpha reliability of 0.887. To estimate the variable Primary Caregiver Overload, the Zarit overload instrument adapted to reality by Lissete Cuba Vergara in 2019 will be used, composed of 22 items and with a Crombrach alpha reliability of 0.909. The data will be analyzed, processed in SPSS 27 program and presented in tables and figures.
Resumen
Existe una gran población pediátrica que nacen con algún tipo de cardiopatía congénita a nivel mundial, Desde que ellos son diagnosticados con esta enfermedad los cuidares primarios generan una sobrecarga la cual aumenta por la intervenciones quirúrgicas e ingresos a una unidad de cuidados intensivos cardiovasculares. Por otro lado, la enfermera especialista en cuidados cardiológicos y cardiovasculares debe brindar un cuidado holístico e integrador, dirigiendo su atención no solo al paciente sino también al cuidador de este. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre el apoyo emocional de enfermería y la sobrecarga del cuidador primario de los niños menores de 5 años pos operados de cardiopatía congénita en la unidad de cuidados intensivos cardiovasculares del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja de febrero a marzo 2022. Esta investigación es aplicada de enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético- deductivo, con un diseño no experimental de corte transversal. la población y muestra estará constituida por 80 cuidadores primarios primario de los niños menores de 5 años pos operados de cardiopatía congénita en la unidad de cuidados intensivos cardiovasculares del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja de febrero a marzo 2022. Se aplicar como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. Para medir la variable apoyo emocional se utilizará un cuestionario creado y validado por Roció Álvarez Mita en el 2020, compuesto por 10 ítems, tiene una confiabilidad de alfa de Crombach de 0.887. Para estimar la variable Sobrecarga del cuidador primario se utilizará el instrumento de sobrecarga de Zarit adaptado a la realidad por Lissete Cuba Vergara en el 2019, compuesto por 22 ítems y con una confiabilidad de alfa de Crombrach 0.909. Los datos serán analizados, procesados en programa SPSS 27 y presentados en tablas y figuras.
