In hospital settings, the work performed by nursing staff is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to the care of frail patients such as the elderly. Since patients hospitalized for long periods of time are more prone to suffer from numerous problems, such as pressure ulcers, this scenario becomes much more critical. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between nursing knowledge and practices on pressure ulcer prevention in the ICU of Hospital Almenara Irigoyen, Lima 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: quantitative, basic, cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational research. The sample will be 80 nurses; to measure the two variables a questionnaire and an observation sheet will be used to measure nursing knowledge and practices on pressure ulcer prevention respectively, both instruments were developed by Mas in 2019. A quantitative method will be used, the data collected by the devices will be expanded and subjected to the appropriate statistical analysis, which may be performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), version 24. Making tables and graphs for the collection of information.

En los entornos hospitalarios, el trabajo realizado por el personal de enfermería es de suma importancia, sobre todo cuando se trata del cuidado de pacientes frágiles como los ancianos.
