Resumen
Complex decongestive therapy aims to reduce the volume of the affected limb with lymphedema, alleviate symptoms, and prevent progression and complications. The initial stage involves the application of manual lymphatic drainage, pressotherapy, skin care, and exercises, while the second phase focuses on optimizing and maintaining the results obtained from the previous stage.
Resumen
La terapia compleja descongestiva busca disminuir el volumen del miembro afecto con linfedema, menguar los síntomas, e impedir la progresión y las complicaciones. La etapa inicial consiste en la aplicación de drenaje linfático manual, presoterapia, cuidado de la piel, y ejercicios y la segunda fase en optimizar y conservar los resultados obtenidos en la fase previa.
