This research will study the effect of a cardiopulmonary physiotherapy program on physical deconditioning in post-COVID patients at the Regional Hospital of Ica. The cardiopulmonary program will be applied to individuals with post-COVID sequelae who were previously hospitalized in intensive care units, aiming to demonstrate that this is the most suitable treatment. Objective: To determine the effect of a cardiopulmonary physiotherapy program on physical deconditioning in post-COVID patients. Material and Methods: The population will consist of post-discharge patients with post-COVID sequelae. The sample size will be 81 patients, all discharged from ICU during January to March 2022. The control group will receive conventional therapy. A non-probabilistic, convenience sampling method will be used based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research type is applied, with a pre-experimental/prospective/longitudinal design, and a hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach.
Resumen
La investigación estudiará el efecto de un programa fisioterapéutico cardiorrespiratorio en el desacondicionamiento físico en pacientes post COVID en el Hospital Regional de Ica. Se aplicará el programa cardiorrespiratorio en personas con secuelas post COVID que estuvieron internadas en unidades de cuidados intensivos, buscando demostrar que este es el tratamiento más idóneo. Objetivo: Determinar el efecto de un programa fisioterapéutico cardiorrespiratorio en el desacondicionamiento físico en pacientes post COVID. Material y métodos: La población serán los los pacientes post alta con secuela post covid El tamaño de la muestra será de 81 pacientes, se consideran a los de post alta de hospitalización la UCI en los meses de enero a marzo 2022. el grupo control que recibirán terapia convencional. El muestreo es de tipo no probabilístico por conveniencia según criterio de inclusión y exclusión.
