The intensive care unit is a key area within the hospital environment, since patients with a high level of severity and high complexity are cared for there, a situation that implies extensive preparation of nursing professionals, even more so in the case of patients who must remain hospitalized and unable to move. However, it has been detected that nurse have insufficient knowledge regarding the prevention of pressure injuries, a situation that can make it difficult for patients to recover and complicate their condition, even exposing them to losing their lives. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between knowledge and practice on the prevention of pressure injuries in intensive care patients at a hospital in Ica, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: It will be quantitative, with a non-experimental - cross-sectional design and a descriptive-correlational scope. The sample will be 50 nurses. The technique will be the survey and the selected instruments will be a questionnaire and an observation sheet that will allow measuring the knowledge and practice variables on pressure injuries prevention, respectively.
Resumen
OBJETIVO: Determinar cuál es la relación entre conocimiento y práctica sobre prevención de lesiones por presión en pacientes de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Ica, 2022. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Será cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental - transversal y alcance descriptivo-correlacional. La muestra será de 50 enfermeras. La técnica será la encuesta y los instrumentos seleccionados serán un cuestionario y una ficha de observación que permitirán medir las variables conocimiento y práctica sobre prevención de lesiones por presión respectivamente. La validez del instrumento fue realizada por Flor Villanueva en 2021. El instrumento 1 alcanzó una significancia de p < 0.05 y el instrumento 2 obtuvo un p < 0.05 se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach obteniendo en el cuestionario que permitirá medir el conocimiento sobre prevención de lesiones por presión obtuvo 864, mientras que la ficha de observación alcanzó ,872 en el mismo coeficiente el que indicó excelente confiabilidad. Una vez aplicados los instrumentos y obtenidos los datos, se realizará el procesamiento a través de una tabla en Excel 2021. Esto servirá como base para trasladar la información al SPSS vs 27, se hará uso de la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman.
