It was an applied research, experimental design (preexperimental), of quantitative approach, it was considered to be a sample of 18 renowned teachers. One thought that there exists influence (value of Z =+4,243 and p = 0,000) of the implementation of the plans of improvement of the process of autoevaluation in the educational performance; of similar form in each of the dimensions of the dependent variable (satisfaction to the student, labor of equipment, labor achievements and personal growth). Being the most out-standing aspects: The teacher thinks that his performance contributes of significant form in the educational proportionate service; that collaborates often with his colleagues in the development of his academic activities when it him is possible; that fulfills a pedagogic labor emphasized over the average performance of the colleagues; that the interests of the university are over his personal interests.Publicación Acceso abierto Uso de la webquest y su influencia en el aprendizaje de informática II en un grupo de estudiantes del segundo ciclo de estudios básicos complementarios de la Universidad Norbert Wiener en el año 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017) Mancilla Ramirez, Enrique Félix; Sanchez Ortega, Jaime AgustínThe objective of the present project was to evaluate to what extent the use of the WebQuest tool influences the learning of the course of Computing II, taking advantage of the previous knowledge of internet that the students have and thus improve their personal process of motivation by the learning. Regarding the methodology, the study was quantitative, explanatory and quasi experimental. The evaluation instrument was a questionnaire of ten questions, which allowed the measurement of meaningful learning and collaborative learning; We used the questionnaire that was applied before using the WebQuest and after using the WebQuest. We used statistical techniques with a sample of 102 students. The results indicated that after applying WebQuest, it did favorably influence the significant and collaborative learning of the Informatics II course. To test the hypotheses, the T - Student statistic was applied, both for the before and after test, adjusted to a 95.0% adjustment, with a 5% margin of error. The type of research used in our research is basic. The level of research is correlational -causal. The sample is stratified by student group according semesters of study, for which he is cross because data collection was performed in a single moment. The study was quantitative because I use the collection of data to test the hypothesis based on statistical analysis and type of quasi-experimental, the type of sampling was probabilistic. To carry out this research was taken a sample of 120 students, divided into two groups, applied to which a pre test and a post test. PBL teaching method was applied to the experimental group and the group control the traditional teaching method was applied. It was used as an instrument the survey technique, using a questionnaire is collected qualitative data and records through chips technique or payroll notes to collect quantitative data. The statistic was used for hypothesis testing student's t, obtaining a t=45,426 and the value of p=0,000 .The research concludes that the academic performance of the students has significantly improved by applying PBL teaching method according to the performance, the levels obtained, in the pretest the 83.3% (50) were low and 13.3 (8) on the middle level and 3.3% (2) in the high level; Unlike in the post - test where there were no any low level 0% (0), the 40.0% (24) were found in a middle level and 60% (36) at a high level. Which shows that the use of the ABP has a positive influence with the academic performance of students in the course of Traumatology of the 4th cycle of the of the Higher Technological Institute "Daniel Alcides Carrión" Institute of Lima, 2015-I semester.Publicación Acceso abierto Aplicación de un módulo educativo para el aprendizaje sobre diabetes mellitus tipo II en estudiantes de Farmacia y Bioquímica de la Universidad Interamericana para el desarrollo año 2017 – Lima, Perú(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-02-08) Juárez Moreyra, Enrique; Respicio López, Patricia Milagros; Puente Saldaña, Rosa ErnestinaThe objective of this work is to: Evaluate the educational module and its relationship with learning about type II diabetes mellitus in pharmacy and biochemistry students of the Inter-American University for Development, 2017 - Lima, Peru. Material and method: The study responds to a non-experimental design because these studies were conducted without the manipulation of variables; This involves collecting data at a specific time and in a single time. The sample consisted of 55 university students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the Inter-American University for Development. Two questionnaires applied after the execution of the learning module were used as an instrument. Results: The results of the independent variable: Application of an educational module obtained a general average of 4.63 and a 92.51% that shows that an expected result was achieved according to the evaluation scale and the result of the dependent variable: Learning about Diabetes Mellitus Type II in students also shows us a general average of 4.71 with 94.15% in relation to what was expected according to the rating scale. The study was a applied type with a correlational level, a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, with 100 students enrolled in the investigative learning course of Lima institute, 2017.The data collection was done through a survey with two instruments, one for each variable of study. The study is based on Roman y Gallego (2008) who referred to the learning strategies and Rodriguez (2011) who was taken into account for the academic performance. For the validation of the hypothesis the Pearson correlation coefficient was used.Publicación Acceso abierto Coaching y motivacion en los docentes de la escuela profesional de Administracion, Universidad Privada Telesup, Lima, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-06) Arce Guevara, Ernesto; Sindeev, AndreyThe main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between coaching and motivation in the teachers of the Professional School of Administration of the Telesup University of Lima, 2017. The type of research is applied, the level of research is descriptive correlational; the sample comprised 60 teachers and a census-type survey was conducted, where 2 questionnaires were applied, the first to measure the coaching variable, based on 14 questions and the second survey that measured the motivation variable called EME (Educational Motivation Scale) , created by Robert Vallarand, consisting of 28 items. The reliability analysis was determined using the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which results in 0.877 for coaching and 0.915 for motivation. The Spearman correlation coefficient test to measure the variables coaching vs. Motivation, establishes the existence of direct correlation because the result is positive and equal to 0.665, determining that the coaching is related in a direct and statistically significant way to the motivation in the teachers; concluding that 45% of the teachers of the professional school of Administration, are highly motivated and the remaining 25% have a medium motivation.Publicación Acceso abierto Estilos de aprendizaje y rendimiento academico de los estudiantes de la escuela de Ingeniería Industrial y Gestión Empresarial de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-06) Cáceres Trigoso, Jorge Ernesto; Fox Cortez, Julio AlonsoThe general objective of the research is to determine the relationship between learning styles and academic performance of the students of the School of Industrial Engineering and Business Management of the Norbert Wiener University in 2017. Because of its level, it has the characteristics of a descriptive, correlational study because it is oriented to describe a phenomenon in a given temporal - spatial circumstance and to measure the relationship between the variables of the study. With respect to the design of the research, this is nonexperimental, descriptive correlational. The population is conformed by 164 students comprised between the first and tenth cycle. The sample size was determined equal to 115 students. The general hypothesis is "There is a significant relationship between the learning styles and the academic performance of the students of the School of Industrial Engineering of the Norbert Wiener University year 2017". Using the Spearman correlation coefficient, it was determined that there is a weak relationship between learning styles and academic performance given that a p-significant value of 0.250 and a Spearman coefficient of 0.108 is found, so the null hypothesis is NOT rejected.Publicación Acceso abierto Hábitos de estudio y rendimiento académico en estudiantes de primer año de estudios de facultades de la Universidad Científica del Sur(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-09) Flores Lezama, Tomy Carlos; Sanchez Aguirre, Flor de MariaThis study aims to establish the relation between the study habits and the academic performance within freshmen of the Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR). A descriptive and correlational method and design were applied. The sample was composed of 80 students of the majors: Marine Biology, Odontology, Environmental Engineering, Human Medicine, Nutrition and Psychology men and women, studying night shift. The study habits inventory CASM 85-R 2010 by Vicuña Peri was used. The second variable had to be designed for being validated then by three (03) professionals. No significant statistical relation as result between the study habits and academic performance was found. The RHO Spearman correlation reaches value of 0.13. Regarding the method of study, the RHO Spearman correlation reaches 0.12. In the anylisis of the method for doing homework, the RHO Spearman correlation reaches 0.16, which means there is a direct but no significant statistical relation. In matters of preparing for exams, the RHO Spearman correlation reaches 0.20, which means there is a direct or positive but no siginficant statistical correlation. Regarding the method of paying attention to classes, the RHO Spearman correlation reaches 0.11 m, which means there is a direct or positive but no siginficant statistical correlation. The work was elaborated under the parameters of a descriptive - correlational investigation. The population and sample consisted of 41 students from the Organizational Development course of the Norbert Wiener University. The hypothesis test was performed using the Rho Spearman coefficient, concluding that the use of the Runachay Virtual Platform is significantly correlated with the Academic Performance of the students in the course "Organizational Development" of the Norbert Wiener University during the year 2018, affirmation sustained in the statistical results obtained, where according to the result of Spearman's Rho coefficient, the alternative general hypothesis is accepted.Publicación Acceso abierto Clima organizacional y satisfacción laboral según los docentes de una universidad privada, Lima 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-13) Picoaga Linares, José Antonio; Sindeev, AndreyThe research entitled Organizational climate and job satisfaction according to the teachers of a private university, Lima 2017, the same one that was done to observe that the organizational climate was not as expected, in addition to many collaborators were dissatisfied with the institution. In this sense, the research was approached from the quantitative approach, the design was descriptive correlational, the applied method was hypothetical deductive, the population was made up of 132 teachers, while applying the simple random sampling technique, then determining the value of k , to determine the sample for each subgroup, it was calculated that it would be constituted by 80 teachers distributed proportionally in three groups, the technique used was the survey with the respective instrument of the questionnaire for each variable, consequently the variables were described according to the levels established, then the hypothesis was contrasted with the Spearman Correlation test because the variables were categorical. Therefore students should learn by doing, allowing a significant learning, where the development of their ability of active work, team work and problem solving is important as part of the Problem Base-Learning (PBL) methodology. This research analyse the possible relation between the PBL as didactic estrategy and a significant learning in Norbert Weiner University fifth grade students, who have recived the PBL methodology as a estrategy in the “Physioterapeutic Intervention on Sensitive Sensorial Dysfunctions” course. The population was 53 students from two diferents classrooms, moorning and late shift. The results show that there is no relation between the application of the PBL method and the significant learning, especially when it comes to active learning and team working learning dimensions, nevertheless the relation between the solving problems dimensión and the significant learning show a Spearman correlation coeficient of -0.310 and a probability value of p= 0.026 (< 0.05), meaning there is a significant relation between this two.Publicación Acceso abierto Los estilos de aprendizaje y el rendimiento academico en estudiantes del programa de adultos de administración de una universidad privada de Lima, 2018-II(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-27) Farfán Guerola, Erika del Socorro; Chocano Lara, Emma del Pilar; Mescua Figueroa, Augusto CésarThe aim of this research was to identify the preferred learning style and the relation between learning styles and the academic performance of Business Degree for Adult Learners of a Private University on Lima in 2018.This research project was done with using a quantitative approach, descriptive and correlational. The segment was conformed by 738 learners of The Business Administration Program, and a no probabilistic segment of 157 undergraduates. In order to collect relevant information, the survey technique was used through the previously validated Questionnaire Honey-Alonso based on Learning Styles (CHAEA). Descriptive statistics was used for measures of central tendency and dispersion; as well as, the Pearson correlation coefficient in inferential statistics. The results showed a significant relationship between learning styles and academic performance. P value, 159 with a meaningful level of 01 Likewise, a significant relationship was found between the theoretical learning style p value 194 with a meaningful level ,05 and the reflective p value 207 witb a meaningful level 01, academic performance.Indicate that exist a positive relative low relation. So it is concluded that there is a direct relationship between the learning styles of the students of admiistration and academic performance. However, this is not the only factor influencing on academic performance.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación diagnóstica y rendimiento académico en estudiantes del primer ciclo de odontología de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-05-02) Higa Higa, Luis Gerardo; Pizarro Arancibia, Lily MarisolThe goal of the present work is to determine the relation between diagnostic assessment and academic performance in students of the first term of odontology studies in the private university Nobert Wiener. A sample of 56 students were taken from the course of biology in the first term of odontology studies. They were asked about their preparation and previous formative experience and a diagnostic assessment to determine their previous knowledge about the matter. The results showed that most of the students have a deficient grade in the diagnostic assessment (71,4%) and a good grade in academic performance (55,4%); it can be remarked that there is a positive correlation between diagnostic assessment and previous preparation even though it is low (r:0,301) and moderate positive correlation between diagnostic assessment and previous formative experience (r:0,69); the correlation between academic performance and previous preparation is moderate (r:0,48) and almost null between academic performance and previous formative experience (r:0,003); finally the correlation between diagnostic assessment and academic performance is positive but low (r:0,191). Material and Method: The study responds to a design quantitative applied, correlational, prospective and transversal research. The sample consisted of 314 students of the Professional Obstetrics Academic School. Two questionnaires were used as an instrument that evaluated the level of teaching performance and the level of satisfaction from the perspective of the students. Results: Whether there is a significant relationship with the level of teaching performance and the level of satisfaction according to specific objectives from the perspective of the students of the Academic Professional School of Obstetrics of the Norbert Wiener University, 2018. Conclusion: the teaching performance and the satisfaction of Students are statistically significant (Test Ji-Significant p-value <0.05). The value of Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient equal to, 999, leads to the conclusion that there is a perfect positive correlation. This translates, to the extent that improves the teaching performance, greater is the satisfaction of the students.Publicación Acceso abierto Estrés académico y su relación con la Somnolencia diurna en estudiantes del VIII ciclo de Terapia Física y Rehabilitación de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-06-05) Díaz Mau, Aimeé Yajaira; Pizarro Arancibia, Lily MarisolStress occurs in many areas of our lives, in the family, social, emotional, sexual, work and academic aspects; since there are various stressors that trigger them, which leads to consequences such as fatigue, physical and mental exhaustion. Stress in the student can cause various disorders in the behavioral, cognitive and physiological plane; producing changes in the short and long term. There are emotional changes, changes in the immune system, even to reach changes in the quality of sleep, producing daytime sleepiness, affecting their academic and work activities. Objective: To determine the relationship between academic stress and daytime sleepiness in physical therapy students at the Norbert Wiener University, 2018. Method: Applied type study, transversal, descriptive, correlational, prospective; conformed by a sample of 100 students. We used the SISCO Inventory for academic stress and the Epworth Questionnaire for daytime sleepiness. Statistical program, SPSS version 23. Results and conclusions: the average of academic stress was 44.57 ± 13.74, of which 71% of students presented moderate academic stress, 21% mild academic stress and 8% of deep type; the average of daytime sleepiness was 9.56 ± 3.78 of which 62% of students had light daytime drowsiness and 15% of moderate type. It is concluded that in relation to the study variables: academic stress and daytime sleepiness in physical therapy students of the Norbert Wiener University, it is concluded that there is a low positive correlation, with a Sperman's Rho coefficient of 0.376 and a level of significance of 0.000Publicación Acceso abierto El software MATLAB en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de Cálculo II de tercer ciclo de la EAP de Ingenierías de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener - 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-06-12) Delgado Cotrina, Gwendolyn Aurora; Carbonell Paredes, Helmer AngélicaThe investigation entitled “The MATLAB software in the academic performance of students of the Calculus II – third cycle – EAP Engineering at Norbert Wiener Private University- 2018” was designed with the aim to establish how the MATLAB software influences on the academic performance of the undergraduate students of Calculus II along the academic term 2018-II. This allowed us to pose the following hypothesis: “The use of the mathematical software influences positively on the academic performance of the undergraduate students of Calculus II EAP- Engineering at Norbert Wiener Private University – 2018”. This hypothesis was proven true as per the results obtained. This is a semi experimental quantitative applied research. The sample was the Calculus II students, morning and evening schedules. Having 52 students in each schedule. The sample was divided in two groups. The control group and the experimental group. The evaluation test was applied twice - the pre-test and the post-test- to both groups, which allowed us to measure the academic performance in each one of the students. The research was of the applied type, with a quantitative approach and correlational level. The sampling was not probabilistic with intention. To measure teaching pedagogical knowledge, the perception of students aged between 18 and 30 years old were observed through a survey and to measure creative intellectual production; Teachers aged between 40 and 60 years old were observed through a questionnaire and documentary analysis. Both questionnaires were validated by experts. The data obtained were typed and sorted into the Excel 2016 program, as well as entered into the SPSS version 22 program for analysis. Statistical analysis showed that teaching pedagogical knowledge is not related to creative intellectual production, with a p-value of 0.343. Only one of the five dimensions studied showed that it its related to creative intellectual production with a p-value of 0.010, this dimension is pedagogical knowledge. It was also observed that 83.3% of teachers participating in this study have a basic level of creative intellectual production, having at least two published articles. This work is concluded by stating that there is no significant correlation between teaching pedagogical knowledge and creative intellectual production.
