The objective of this study is to determine the significant relationship between tuberculosis knowledge and preventive attitudes among secondary school students at the San Miguel Emprendedor school in Lima in 2025. Methodology: This quantitative, hypothetical-deductive, applied, and non-experimental correlational study surveyed 80 students aged 10-19 years using a simple random sample with Crombach’s alpha of 0.76 and 0.77, respectively, via a questionnaire. Results: 61.3% of the students demonstrated a high level of knowledge about tuberculosis; specifically, 71.3% demonstrated knowledge of the definition of tuberculosis, 80% of diagnosis, and 62.5% of treatment. However, 57.5% demonstrated a moderate level of knowledge regarding prevention. Regarding preventive attitudes, 50% showed indifference, with 63.7% in the cognitive dimension and 51.2% in the affective dimension showing acceptance. However, in the behavioral dimension, 60% showed indifference, and when both variables were correlated, a positive correlation was found between them. In conclusion, it was found that there is a moderate positive correlation between knowledge of tuberculosis and preventive attitudes (0.476** and p<0.000). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis is accepted, and it is recommended to focus on health education due to its importance in providing relevant information about the consequences of tuberculosis in general, thus promoting responsible attitudes and decisions among students and fostering positive behaviors.
