El presente estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre el funcionamiento familiar y agresividad en estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa de Lurigancho, Lima – 2024. La investigación siguió un enfoque cuantitativo con un método hipotético-deductivo y un diseño no experimental de tipo básico, con alcance correlacional y de corte transversal. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la Escala de evaluación de adaptabilidad familiar y cohesión FACES IV y el Cuestionario de Agresión de Buss y Perry. La muestra estuvo conformada por 223 estudiantes de 1ero a 5to de secundaria de una Institución educativa de Lurigancho, Lima. Los hallazgos señalan que el funcionamiento familiar se correlacionó de manera significativa y estadísticamente con la Agresividad (rho = -0.159; p < 0.05); del mismo modo, se correlacionó significativamente con las dimensiones agresión verbal (rho = -0.167; p = 0.013 < 0.05); la agresión física (rho = -0.140; p = 0.036); la hostilidad (rho= 0.150; p=0.025 <0.05). Sin embargo, no existe correlación significativa con la dimensión ira (rho = 0.101; p = 0.134). En conclusión, mayor funcionamiento familiar se asocia con menores niveles de agresividad en los estudiantes.
Resumen
The general objective of this research study was to determine the relationship between family functioning and aggression in secondary school students at an educational institution in Lurigancho, Lima -2024. The research followed a quantitative approach with a hypothetical deductive method and a basic non-experimental design, with a correlational and cross-sectional scope. Data collection used the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Assessment Scale (FACES IV) and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire. The sample consisted of 223 students from first to fifth grade at an educational institution in Lurigancho, Lima. The findings indicate that family functioning was statistically significantly correlated with aggression (rho = -0.159; p < 0.05); it was also significantly correlated with the dimensions of verbal aggression (rho = -0.167; p = 0.013 < 0.05); Physical aggression (rho = -0.140; p = 0.036); hostility (rho = -0.150; p = 0.025 <0.05). However, there was no significant correlation with the anger dimension (rho = 0.101; p = 0.134). In conclusion, higher family functioning is associated with lower levels of aggression in students.
