The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between coaching and motivation in the teachers of the Professional School of Administration of the Telesup University of Lima, 2017. The type of research is applied, the level of research is descriptive correlational; the sample comprised 60 teachers and a census-type survey was conducted, where 2 questionnaires were applied, the first to measure the coaching variable, based on 14 questions and the second survey that measured the motivation variable called EME (Educational Motivation Scale) , created by Robert Vallarand, consisting of 28 items. The reliability analysis was determined using the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which results in 0.877 for coaching and 0.915 for motivation. The Spearman correlation coefficient test to measure the variables coaching vs. Motivation, establishes the existence of direct correlation because the result is positive and equal to 0.665, determining that the coaching is related in a direct and statistically significant way to the motivation in the teachers; concluding that 45% of the teachers of the professional school of Administration, are highly motivated and the remaining 25% have a medium motivation.
Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general el determinar la relación entre el coaching con la motivación en los docentes de la escuela profesional de Administración de la Universidad Telesup de Lima, 2017. El tipo de investigación es aplicada , el nivel de investigación es descriptivo correlacional; la muestra comprendió a 60 docentes y se realizó una encuesta tipo censo, donde se aplicaron 2 cuestionarios, el primero para medir la variable coaching, en base a 14 preguntas y la segunda encuesta que midió la variable motivación denominada EME (Escala de Motivación Educativa), creada por Robert Vallarand, conformada por 28 ítems. El análisis de fiabilidad se determinó mediante el coeficiente de Alfa de Cronbach cuyo resultado es de 0.877 para coaching y de 0.915 para motivación. La prueba de coeficiente de correlación de Spearman para medir las variables coaching vs. Motivación, establece la existencia de correlación directa porque el resultado es positivo e igual a 0.665, determinando que el coaching se relaciona de manera directa y estadísticamente significativa con la motivación en los docentes; concluyéndose que el 45% de los docentes de la escuela profesional de Administración, se encuentran altamente motivados y el restante 25% tiene una motivación de carácter medio.
