Resumen
This work has a quantitative approach, descriptive level, and cross-sectional design; it will be conducted to identify the perception of communication in family members of critical patients in the ICU at Clínica San Judas Tadeo, regarding the degree of importance. The sample will consist of 80 family members of patients admitted to the service who meet the inclusion criteria. A questionnaire will be used as the instrument: the perception of family members of critical patients regarding the role of the nursing professional, consisting of 28 questions with Likert scale responses. The instrument evaluates perception in three dimensions: verbal communication, non-verbal communication, and emotional support. The information obtained will help understand and assess the family’s perception of communication with the professional nursing staff providing specialized care to their relative in the ICU, allowing healthcare personnel to improve or optimize their interaction with family caregivers, who are a vital pillar during the patient's ICU stay. The family plays an important role in the recovery and reintegration of the patient into society.
Resumen
El presente trabajo es de enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel descriptivo, de corte transversal; se realizará con objeto de identificar la percepción de la comunicación en familiares del paciente crítico en la uci de la Clínica San Judas Tadeo, respecto al grado de importancia. la muestra estará constituida por 80 familiares de pacientes internados en el servicio, que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión. se utilizará como instrumento: el cuestionario, percepción de los familiares de los pacientes críticos, respecto a la función del profesional enfermero, está constituido por 28 preguntas con respuestas en escala tipo Likert. el instrumento evalúa la percepción según tres dimensiones: comunicación verbal, comunicación no verbal y apoyo emocional. la información obtenida permitirá conocer y valorar la percepción del familiar sobre la comunicación con el personal profesional enfermero que presta cuidados especializados a su pariente internado en la uci, esto permitirá al personal de salud mejorar u optimizar la interacción con los familiares cuidadores que se constituyen en un pilar de suma importancia durante el tiempo de permanencia en uci del paciente. la familia desempeña un rol importante para la recuperación y reintegración del enfermo a la sociedad.
