Publicación Acceso abierto Aceptación del programa de formación en valores de la policía nacional por parte de docentes y estudiantes de escuelas públicas del Espinal, Tolima en Colombia en el año 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-20) Ospina Bríñez, Alexander; Olarte, Luis Ángel; Guillén Aparicio, Patricia EdithThe National Police provides within its Institutional Educational Project the development of the essential role of Social Projection, being one of his actions the implementation of educational programs offered by the institution to the communities, for this project is of particular interest the development of formation around values in schools in the region. The objective is to analyze the level of acceptance of the formation Program in Values of the National Police by students in public schools in El Espinal and police teachers that develop the program. With a descriptive transactional design, 131 students from four schools in the city and 19 teachers responded previously validated instruments for assessing the acceptance of formation programs on values, and their demographic characteristics. We found that the evaluative perception of the program is not significantly different between students and teachers, which allows to conclude that there is a consensus in the rating given to the Formation Program in Values of PONAL with a high level of acceptance. As a general conclusion it can be stated that the Community Formation Program in Values of the National Police has a high level of acceptance by students of public schools in El Espinal in which it develops, as well as by police teachers deployed in the community context.Publicación Acceso abierto Acercamiento de las habilidades comunicativas a niños con dificultad atencional por parentesco genético soportadas por neuropsicología y psicología educativa, en un colegio colombiano, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-11-26) Mendoza Calixto, Josefina; Yangali Vicente, Judith SoledadBringing communication skills closer to different subjects of a school curriculum, is the objective of this study, aimed at children with difficulties at the attention level due to the genetic proximity maintained by the families of the populated center from which they come, without there being any investigative antecedents on the theme. With a qualitative approach methodology, through the multiple case study method, a technique of three neuropsychological tests whose instruments are Weschler Scale, NEUROPSI Battery and ENI Battery, which provide information on the real state of the children attentively, analysis of genograms that report on the familiarity that exists between them and structured interviews with teachers, with an initial population of 23 students and 12 teachers defined in 10 children and nine teachers to create ways to approximate communication skills to their subjects assertively, with the use of tools pedagogical that allow improving their academic performance, which has obvious weaknesses. The approach from which it was developed was quantitative, descriptive level, through the application of an instrument that allowed knowing the perceptions of the students about the accompaniment of their parents in regard to their educational process and the transmission of values, and the interrelation between parental accompaniment (independent variable) and education in values (dependent variable) was analyzed. The values that were privileged in the study were, on the one hand, responsibility, solidarity, honesty, respect and tolerance. On the other hand, the accompaniment in time and support that parents provide their children. The study is based on an analysis of sources close to the perspective of this research. As a conclusion and discussion, the importance of the support of parents in the processes of education in values in students is highlighted, because they are beginning another stage of their academic formation and the presence of the values that was mentioned on the research will help them to obtain better academic results and a more successful life.Publicación Acceso abierto Actitud investigadora y el logro de competencias en estudiantes de turismo de la universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2019-I(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-05-26) Huerta Rosales, María Luisa; Pizarro Arancibia, Lily MarisolThe purpose of this study is to determine if there is a relationship between the research attitude and the achievement of skills of tourism students at Norbert Wiener University, 2019 I. The research approach is quantitative; Type of research is substantive; the level of research is descriptive-correlational; cross section. Its non-experimental design; that which explains the correlation between the variables research attitude and achievement of skills in the training of tourism students of Administration in Tourism and Hospitality of the Wiener University. The sample is made up of 80 Tourism students from the Professional Academic School of Tourism and Hospitality at Norbert Wiener University. The data collection technique applied was the survey, the instruments were, the questionnaire for students on research attitude and the questionnaire for students on the achievement of skills. In the hypothesis test, Spearman's correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlations since the sample follows a normal distribution; it was determined that there is a statistically significant relationship between the research attitude and the achievement of competencies of Tourism 2019 I students, obtaining a correlation of 0.912, with a significance level of 0.000. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted. Based on this recognition, it is intended to determine how the application of articulation strategies linked to harmonic transitions improves school adaptation in children passing from early childhood to first grade, at Guillermo Valencia school in Cali, in 2019. Therefore, an applied type research was carried out, whose quantitative approach, presented an experimental design, of quasi experimental level with pre-test and post-test in intact groups, with census sample. Its process is supported theoretically in the section of the theoretical bases of the diagnosis of the adoption of this research, in which the equipment, the knowledge, the use, the credibility and the necessity of training of teachers with respect to the ICT in the integration to the teaching models. The research has a critical approach - applicative, communicative and technological. The design of the research is of a non-experimental type, quantitative techniques are used through the application of the survey and its subsequent statistical analysis. The population and the sample to which the study refers is to 23 teachers of the preschool area of the Institution is study. Año 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017) Patrón Benitez, Antonio José; Toscano Toscano, Carmen Rosa; Vasquez Arce, PercyThe present study aims to determine if there is a relationship between the application of hypermedia learning environments in topics of analytic geometry, specifically the straight and the circumference and five categories of academic performance, such as motivation, achievements in learning, teaching methods, study habits and learning styles; of tenth grade students of the educational institution Antonio Lenis the city of Sincelejo, Sucre, Colombia, in 2014. Research results obtained from a sample of 50 students, and with a methodology applied, correlational, quantitative approach and longitudinal pre-experimental design, since it was made comparison of two times, before and after the application of hypermedia learning environments, in the same sample. Applied instruments were subjected to expert opinions and its reliability was calculated with the Cronbach's statistician. The correlation between the variables was determined using the Chisquare test, with a less than 0.05 significance level, which means that the hypermedia learning environments applied to topics of analytic geometry, specifically in the straight and the circumference, if they are related to the categories of the academic performance of students in 10th grade of the Antonio Lenis educational institution. However, it is suggested to extend the scope of the findings of this study to other topics of mathematics, to other areas and make the use of hypermedia learning environments contribute, in all areas, to develop competencies in students and raise their academic performance, thus contributing to improve the quality of the Colombian education.Publicación Acceso abierto Análisis del nivel felicidad y su impacto en el rendimiento académico e inserción laboral de los egresados de ingeniería de una universidad de Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-27) Manuel Benjamín Taboada García; Yangali Vicente, Judith SoledadIn different societies or cultures it has been considered that happy people are successful in multiple aspects of life, which implies a causality between success and happiness. The present study aimed to analyze happiness and its impact on the academic performance and job placement of university graduates. The research was developed under a hypothetical deductive method, of the correlational descriptive type, with a non-experimental design. The population was defined as all 2020 engineering graduates from a private university in the city of Lima-Peru. The instrument used to measure happiness was the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, which consists of 29 items with answers on a six-point Likert scale, with a reliability of Cronbach's alpha of 0.823, 2 questions were added to know the employment situation and the academic performance was obtained from the weighted averages; To complement the results, the interview technique was used, collecting descriptive information according to the guide prepared; In the conclusions, a significant relationship between the happiness variable and academic performance was confirmed, since 60% of graduates with a high level of happiness belonged to the upper third. Likewise, with a Chi-square statistic of 0.750 with p = 0.400, it was found that happiness was not significantly related to the labor insertion of the graduates belonging to the upper third. Methodologically the study is non-experimental, with a quantitative research approach. Twenty-two students participated, ranging in age from 8 to 11 years. A questionnaire on the use and knowledge of computer resources and a written evaluation on the learning of the natural sciences in the topic of global warming were used as instruments in three basic competences: concept appropriation, knowledge building and problem solving, results Show that there is a direct relation between the knowledge and use of ICT resources and the learning of the natural sciences in 5th grade students, in the appropriation of concepts (Spearman's rho: 0.8); Knowledge building (0.82) and problem solving (0.72).Publicación Acceso abierto Análisis retrospectivo de las carreras profesionales universitarias y los factores demográficos asociados según preferencia de los estudiantes de universidades peruanas, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-23) Díaz Rodríguez, Nancy del Rosario; Vásquez Tomás, Melba RitaThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between university professional careers and the demographic factors associated with the preferences of Peruvian university students in 2018. It is a retrospective study since the information was obtained prior to its planning. What is intended is to establish an analysis of past events that allow us to understand the present. The method used was hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach of non-experimental design and a correlational level. The population is made up of 17-year-old students from more than both private and state Peruvian universities. The data were collected from the document called Peru: Education Indicators by Departments, 2008- 2018 published by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics. The technique used was documentary observation. The results found determined a degree of correlation of 0.961 according to Spearman's Rho coefficient, with which it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between university professional careers and associated demographic factors according to the preference of Peruvian university students with a significance of 0.000 <0.05.Publicación Acceso abierto La aplicación de estrategias de educación emocional en el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de grado quinto de educación básica primaria de la Institución Educativa Técnica Sumapaz del Municipio de Melgar en el departamento del Tolima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017) Castañeda Rojas, Diana Patricia; Vasquez Arce, PercyThis research is focused in to stablish a correlation between emotional development methodologies whit children and the impact they have in their academic performances. This research wants to favor the acquisition of scholar knowledges and promote the affective development through the understanding and the emotional management of own and other’s feelings. This study is almost experimental, it takes two groups of students from both sexes, their ages are around 9 and 12 years old, and they belong to fifth grade of elementary school. In one group, I applied some strategies for strengthen their emotional development, and in the other group, whit similar characteristics, I decided not to intervene the scenario with the purpose of make comparisons between these groups and analyze their academic achievement. As a method, I used an emotional intelligence test and an instrument for following the student’s academic performance. The results of this experiment evidenced that the group in which were applied emotional education strategies, conformed by 35 students, the 57,14 % got a superior academic performance and none student got the lowest level. It’s important to keep in mind that pre-test that it was applied, the same group got a 17,2% of low academic achievement and the 17,2% in high academic level, this shows up an evident improvement in their academic performance. The analytic verification of the results in both groups allows the acknowledgement of one important fact: the affective development have an influence in the student’s academic performance, and open up a road to strength a more integrate educational development of children.Publicación Acceso abierto Aplicación de estrategias de enseñanza y su relación con el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de I y II ciclo de la escuela profesional de contabilidad de la universidad nacional José María Arguedas, Andahuaylas-2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-05-12) Quispe Vargas, Edgar; Venegas Mejía, Valia LuzThe research was carried out at the Professional Accounting School, Business Sciences faculty at José María Arguedas National University in Andahuaylas. The research is a non-experimental correlational type quantitative approach where the main objective has been determined the degree of the relationship existing between teaching strategies and academic performance among students from 1st and 2nd cycle at the Professional School of Accounting, José María Arguedas National University, 2018. It was also determined that teaching strategies through three dimensions: Prior knowledge strategies, information organization strategies, and group strategies. In the same way, UNAJMA academic records office was registered to obtain the report of the weighted average scores belonged to the students in the study sample, with the request to know the academic performance of the students. To obtain data on teaching strategies, a survey was applied to the students from the 1st and 2nd cycle who belong to the 2018-II period, Professional Accounting School, of Business Sciences Faculty at José María Arguedas de Andahuaylas National University. Regarding the data collection instrument, the structured questionnaire was applied to the dimensions of teaching strategies variables that was compound of 23 items, where the following assessment was recorded: (1 = Never, 2 = Almost never, 3 = A times, 4 = Almost always and 5 = Always). Likewise, validity and reliability have been performed according to the Cronbach's alpha coefficient and the results obtained for the teaching strategies were 0.870. Therefore, the instruments are reliable and consistent. On the other hand, for academic performance, the report of the weighted average from the 1st and 2nd cycle students belonged to the Professional School of Accounting at José María Arguedas National University, 2018 was used. It was given through academic records from University. Therefore, the reports are reliable. Regarding the relationship between the variables, I checked the SPSS program 25 version where the Spearman's correlation coefficient is 0.507, which shows that there is a positive correlation between the study variables. That is, as both variables grow in the same direction, the relationship also grows in the same measure. Significance is high. Since statistical evidence shows that p <0.05. Therefore, it was confirmed with a confidence level of 95% that there is a significant relationship between teaching strategies and academic performance among the 1st and 2nd cycle students who belong to the Professional Accounting School at José María Arguedas the National University, 2018. Finally, regarding the conclusions reached by the research, it shows that there is a significant relationship between teaching strategies and academic performance. That is why this research seeks to determine to what extent the application of learning tools in virtual environments strengthens Geometric Thinking in fifth grade students of the Jhon F. Kennedy Educational Institution in Barrancabermeja, Colombia in 2019. The research had a quantitative approach, with a quasiexperimental design, which set the objective of measuring the incidence of one variable under study under the effect of another in a school context. It was used in a survey by means of a questionnaire to collect information on the teaching-learning process of mathematics, which took into account the informational and practical dimensions, use of didactic resources, evaluation and accompaniment, and attitudinal; and a knowledge test that included the first three levels of the Van Hiele model. Statistical methods were used for data analysis, and Student's t-test for hypothesis tests. Finally, as a result, it was possible to determine that the application of learning tools in virtual environments favorably affects the development of geoometric thinking of fifth-grade primary school students at the John F. Kenendy educational institution, and as a conclusion it was established that the The application of learning tools in virtual environments improved the level of performance of the development of geometric thinking in the fifth grade students of the John F. The sample used was made up of 50 students, who showed difficulties in the readingwriting development. To carry out this pre-experimental research, pre-test-posttest without control group, which uses the evaluation battery of the PROLEC-R reader processes. The objective of this instrument is to verify the components of the system that are failing in the selected sample. Students were given the PROLEC-R test before and after applying ICT tools in the classroom, such as the use of electronic media in the learning process, text processors for writing and electronic books for reading. . The battery is composed of nine tasks that evaluate the last ten normal skill indices. The evaluation is individual and scored with a correct answer and zero to the incorrect. The result of the answers allows to diagnose the presence of mild difficulty (D) or severe (DD) in the slow speed detection processes, in the speed index processes, and low level, in the subjects with a normal reading ability. The data were processed using the Wilcoxon test of median difference for related samples, with the aim of measuring prior reading and writing after the intervention. The present study is characterized for being an applied investigation of experimental character and quasi-experimental design with two groups one of control and one experimental; to validate the hypothesis, the application of methodological strategies "Learning to Investigate" significantly improves the capacity of inquiry and experimentation in the area of Science Technology and Environment in the students of the fourth grade of secondary education of the Public Educational Institution "San Antonio de Padua" , Cañete - 2015 The instrument used was a pre-test consisting of ten items and dichotomous questions attributing the value 1 for the correct answer and zero for the incorrect answer, applied to both groups, obtaining 0% in the satisfactory level, 29% in the level achieved, 24% at the process level and 47% at the start level. The experimental group applied the treatment with the methodological strategies learning to investigate in 16 learning sessions and, afterwards, a test of exit (post test) was applied to both groups, obtaining favorable results for the experimental group in the attainment of the capacity of investigation and experimentation, evidencing 62% of students in the satisfactory level, 26% in the achieved level, 12% in the process level and 0% in the beginning level, demonstrating that the methodological strategies Learning to Investigate significantly improve the achievement of capacity of inquiry and experimentation in the area of Science, Technology and Environment in the students of the fourth grade of secondary education of the educational institution San Antonio de Padua with a high level of significance of 0.000 for the experimental group versus 0.637 of the control group.Publicación Acceso abierto Aplicación de la estrategia pedagógica “cuentos inéditos” para mejorar la producción textual de los estudiantes de octavo grado del Colegio Nuestra Señora de Fátima de Montería, Colombia, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-13) Badel Martínez, Aníbal José; Rivera Arellano, Edith GisselaThe study proposed as a general objective to determine to what extent the application of the pedagogical strategy "unpublished stories" improves the textual production in the eighth grade students of the Nuestra Señora de Fátima Montería 2018 school. This research was of the applied type and quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 60 students distributed as follows: 30 students of the 8-A course belonging to the experimental group and 30 students of the 8-B course belonging to the control group, all of them from the 8th grade school Nuestra Señora de Fatima Montería 2018. The application of some examinations or evaluations was used as a technique, using the pre and post test instrument, for the dependent variable, text production. In the work, a linguistic textual approach was used, in relation to textual properties. The results obtained after the application of pre-test, pedagogical strategy and post-test, as well as data processing, allowed confirming that the hypothesis: The application of the pedagogical strategy "unpublished stories" significantly improves textual production in students of eighth grade of the school Nuestra Señora de Fatima- Montería 2018; since it allowed the improvement of the writing competence (textual production), in relation to the dimensions coherence, cohesion and adequacy. Favoring the clarity, organization and purpose of the written texts; contributing to retake the themes during the development of the text, displaying new ideas and results that do not contradict the original idea; it was noted the use of synonyms and equivalent expressions on the same idea, and was improved in the use of logical connectors for the sequence of the writings. Another notable result is that in the experimental group 54% of the students went from low to basic level and 27% increased their performance from basic to high level of their textual production. The main conclusion is that the application of the pedagogical strategy "unpublished stoties" significantly improves the textual production of the eighth grade students of secondary school of the school Nuestra Señora de Fátima - Montería 2018, as shown in the statistical test "t" with a significant difference with respect to the variable textual production for the post test; evidencing with a level of significance - Sig. The study was framed in an experimental design of quasi-experimental level. We worked with a population of 138 students of ninth grade, of which 70 students were selected as sample, so that an experimental group was established (formed by the ninth grade "C", with 36 students, who interacted with the digital tool GeoGebra) and a control group (Ninth Grade "A" with 34 students that was used as a witness), which were selected naturally as constituted in the institution. A pre-test was applied to the two groups in order to take a baseline and use it as a reference. Then the two groups were subjected for 13 sessions to the study of the linear function, with the difference that the experimental group (9ºC) was exposed to the influence of the GeoGebra digital tool and the control group to the traditional methodology, to develop this theme. Finally, a knowledge test on the aforementioned subject was applied again, in order to verify the fulfillment of the objectives and to check or reject the hypotheses. As a result, it was obtained that 100% of the students in the experimental group passed the test with a grade equal to or higher than 55 points, the average of this group was 78.19, which turned out to be 22.9 points higher than that obtained by the group. control that was of 55.29 and in addition half of the experimental group obtained notes superior to 80; 25 points more than the control group in this same indicator that was 55.
