Ambientes hipermediales de aprendizaje aplicados a temas de geometría analítica y rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de décimo grado de la Institución Educativa Antonio Lenis. Año 2014

The present study aims to determine if there is a relationship between the application of hypermedia learning environments in topics of analytic geometry, specifically the straight and the circumference and five categories of academic performance, such as motivation, achievements in learning, teaching methods, study habits and learning styles; of tenth grade students of the educational institution Antonio Lenis the city of Sincelejo, Sucre, Colombia, in 2014. Research results obtained from a sample of 50 students, and with a methodology applied, correlational, quantitative approach and longitudinal pre-experimental design, since it was made comparison of two times, before and after the application of hypermedia learning environments, in the same sample. Applied instruments were subjected to expert opinions and its reliability was calculated with the Cronbach's statistician. The correlation between the variables was determined using the Chisquare test, with a less than 0.05 significance level, which means that the hypermedia learning environments applied to topics of analytic geometry, specifically in the straight and the circumference, if they are related to the categories of the academic performance of students in 10th grade of the Antonio Lenis educational institution. However, it is suggested to extend the scope of the findings of this study to other topics of mathematics, to other areas and make the use of hypermedia learning environments contribute, in all areas, to develop competencies in students and raise their academic performance, thus contributing to improve the quality of the Colombian education.

The teaching-learning process aims to train children and young problem solvers, critical and analytical to apply in every time and place where they are, in order to respond to a changing society. Basic education is responsible for developing skills, abilities, skills, study strategies in order to develop logical thinking of students. The escaza preparation by teachers in the implementation of active teaching strategies in the teaching has made that students have a low level of mathematical logical thinking and learning it impinges on all areas of study. Faced with this situation, the research addresses the issue of mathematical logical thinking from the use of virtual blog and its impact on academic performance. Research on the low logical thinking in students of the educational institution Real Campestre La Sagrada Familia, headquarters; It allowed to demonstrate the problem in their size, so an alternative solution arises. This alternative solution is developed through the use of the methodology 2.0 blog, where students solve different exercises that involve math skills to promote learning from them. Specifically, the virtual blog was fed with activities involving the approach and solution of problem situations and subject-object interaction; using learning objects, because it was shown that the application of a strategy mediated by technological tools, can help overcome cognitive deficits of students in the area of mathematics. The main finding was the difference in yield, after working in the virtual blog; because the progress of the students gave significantly because of the teaching strategies and integrated into blog content area of mathematics. The most important recommendation is that teachers regularly use virtual blog, and several audiovisual resources; because these teaching strategies allow students an active and efficient participation in the learning process, which will contribute to the development of their mathematical logical thinking.

This research aims to stimulate reading habits, developing interpretation, analysis and reading comprehension skills; having as an ICT tool the use of the interactive blog as a means of support in the acquisition of good reading habits of the students of Primary Basic of the Technical Educational Institution María Auxiliadora de Fresno (Tolima). Since in the development of this project, student’s encountered activities that helped improve the understanding of interactive texts in an active and participatory manner. In the same way, they are encouraged and motivated, awakening in them, the interest in acquiring discipline in their academic activities, since this process strengthened their ability to be self-taught of good reading habits and therefore widened their reading comprehension in all areas of knowledge. In addition to the frequent use of ICT resources, it allowed students to get involved in a virtual world, which generated creativity and imagination when interacting with educational platforms, which enrich and favor the teachinglearning process, taking into account the education of the century XXI. Also bearing in mind that pedagogical processes or strategies must be updated and innovated according to new technological trends and in this case in particular the use of ICT resources through the interactive blog, it sets an important guideline to take advantage of its applicability; Therefore, the need to propose a series of activities that, although simple, promote interest in overcoming reading comprehension difficulties and raise their school performance through fun and different didactics, which are consistent with them, since they are digital natives.

The aim of this study is to determine whether the technology integration in English learning process has an impact on the academic performance reflected on the standardized test score results – Icfes Saber 11, a test that is taken by senior students. This research was conducted at Institución Educativa Distrital Francisco de Paula Santander, a public school located in Bogotá, Colombia. It took place in 2015. The theoretical foundations were based on technology integration, specifically, on blended learning approaches, and on academic performance. The target population of the study were 20 students of both genders between 15 and 19 years old. They belong to low and lower middle class. Two surveys were administered to students and they also took a pretest and a posttest in order to achieve the formulated objective. After administering the pretest, weaknesses and strengths were identified, then a methodology based on integration technology was designed and implemented, finally, the posttest was applied. This study is academically relevant for one major reason, there was not any research about integration technology and standardized tests preparation for students in Colombia. Furthermore, this study has also society relevance as it was particularly focused on the results obtained by the students in contrast to the pretest ones. Through these results, it could be determined the impact on the academic performance. A national quantitative scale was used to classify the academic performance according to the right answers, considering the following categorization: poor, fair, good and excellent.

Relación del uso de aulas virtuales y aprendizaje de las matemáticas en estudiantes de sexto grado del Centro Educativo Los Laureles, Barrancabermeja-Colombia, 2015

This degree work has the general purpose establish the relationship of the use of virtual classrooms and learning mathematics in sixth graders Education Center the Laureles, Barrancabermeja-Colombia, 2015. Methodologically, it is a basic research, which follows a correlational design and not Experimental. The population under investigation corresponds to sixth the Laureles Education Center. The sample size was 43 students chosen for convenience to whom an instrument was applied to evaluate the variables of the study. The research method is quantitative. Observation, Application Likert questionnaire survey and analysis payrol note: For this research, using field research techniques how. The analytical data processing was performed using SPSS 23.0 statistical package for Windows XP. In conclusion, the results show a ρ (rho) = Spearman's rank correlation coefficient as follows; a positive correlation ρ (rho)= 0.705 for the level of knowledge of mathematics, a ρ (rho)= 0.681 for the receptive dimension; and ρ (rho)= 0.625 for performance and mastery of mathematics; which is demonstrated with the use of virtual classrooms is relationship the process of learning mathematics in sixth graders Education Center Los Laureles, Barrancabermeja – Colombia, 2015.

Las TIC como herramienta educativa y su influencia en la formación de competencias básicas empresariales en la Institución Educativa “Monseñor Alfonso Uribe” del Municipio de La Ceja, Antioquia, en el año 2014

The objective of this research was to determine the influence of information technology and communication (ICT) on the process of teaching - learning of the department of entrepreneurship in students of I.E Monseñor Alfonso Uribe Jaramillo the municipality of La Ceja, Antioquia and its involvement in the development of basic competencies in the dimension of being, knowing and doing. Therefore it was intended to do research through the use of data collection instruments for observing, measuring, diagnosing, and propose alternatives through the use of ICT, improving the chair of entrepreneurship in their basic competencies. The research is framed in the experimental line of inquiry whose forms were the survey, direct observation and personal interview, through dialogue to determine the degree of support and assertiveness in the guidance provided in school as a means of observational. The survey allowed to collect data on the assertiveness of the department of entrepreneurship and use of ICT resources. The study population was the secondary school students, from which a study sample of 158 students was selected, the selection of the sample was made using simple random probabilistic sampling and defining a margin of error of 5%. The information processing is done with the SPSS statistical software that allows to analyze collected in the investigation and to perform the tests of normality and Student T for related samples that allow to determine the validity of the silver hypotheses in the investigation. Input surveys yielded a very low level of acceptance in the development of core business skills in students. In response to this situation, different strategies were implemented for the incorporation of ICTs in Entrepreneurship. To this end, the research project was launched. In five months the exit test was carried out to verify the changes, the statistical analysis of the information obtained at the beginning and at the end of the investigation was done, the test of each hypothesis was carried out, concluding that the ICT tools applied to the Entrepreneurship board significantly influence the development of students' basic business skills, obtaining a 29% increase in comparison to the entrance test.

Uso de las redes sociales y su relación con el rendimiento académico en el primer semestre de los alumnos del grado séptimo de la Institución Educativa Técnica ciudad de Ibagué, año 2016

The aim of the investigation was the relation determined between use of the social networks and the academic performance in the first semester of the pupils of the seventh degree of the educational technical Institution Ibagué's city, year 2016; the sample was 151 pupils with a range of ages of 12 a16 years, of applied type and of level correlacional, of not experimental design, and of quantitative approach. One thought that there does not exist direct and significant relation between the use of the social networks and the academic performance of the students (Rho's value of - 0,009 and value of p of 0,910), therefore provided that mainly the students indicated that they use the networks often regularly and discharge, it does not imply that his academic performance is principally low, so they found cases with levels to regulate or highly. Of similar form, there does not exist direct and significant relation between the use of the social networks and the academic achievement (Rho = - 0,085 and p = 0,299); between the use of the social networks and the procedural capacities (Rho = 0,103 and p = 0,206); between the use of the social networks and the cognitive capacities (Rho = 0,042 and p = 0,606); between the use of the social networks and the personal growth (Rho = - 0,085 and p = 0,300).

Utilización de la hoja de cálculo excel en el rendimiento académico del área de matemáticas en estudiantes del grado noveno, Institución Educativa Juvenil Nuevo Futuro; Medellin-2014

The purpose of this research is to determine if the use of the Excel spreadsheet influences the academic performance of the mathematics area of the ninth grade students of the Nuevo Futuro Juvenile Educational Institution; Medellín-2014. It is an investigation of explanatory type, pre-experimental design, with pre-test / posttest, with a single group. This population is composed of 67 students and the sample is census. In the data collection a test instrument was used, standardized, validated by expert judgment and with a high reliability. In the obtained results it was verified that, the academic performance of the mathematics area, improved after the treatment was applied. In addition, it was evidenced that the numerical-variational and geometric-metric dimensions are the most difficult and easiest to learn, respectively, for grade level students. It is concluded, therefore, that the area of mathematics improves its academic performance by 76.12%, the dimension of the numerical-variational area improves the academic performance by 70.78%, the dimension of the geometric-metric area improves the Academic performance by 86.05% and the dimension of the random area by 80.01%.
