Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout in the nursing staff of the sterilization center of the national teaching Hospital Madre Niño San Bartolome-2020, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-15) Andres Tenasoa, Flor Mercedes; Bastidas Solis, Miriam CeciliaBurnout, also known as occupational burnout, refers to emotional deterioration caused by high levels of stress and a lack of motivation to work. This term was coined in 1974 by Herbert J. Freudenberger, a psychoanalyst, in response to the intense professional lives of healthcare workers. This overload of stress jeopardizes their health, affecting their relationships in the workplace, and impacting them psychologically and mentally. As the condition progresses, it deteriorates mental faculties, leading individuals to feel worthless, causing confusion in the workplace and resulting in poor care for patients. Maslach and S. Jackson (1981) studied this syndrome as a situation in which an individual, as a person and as part of the psyche, reflects a state of anxiety or decline in their work. This syndrome is particularly prevalent among those who have caregiving roles, and it is described through three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of personal accomplishment.Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome among intensive care unit nurses at a MINSA hospital in Metropolitan Lima – 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-06) Flores Téllez, Angela Marjory; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoThe objective of this research project is to determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in the nursing staff of the Intensive Care Unit of a Minsa hospital in metropolitan Lima, evaluating the three dimensions of burnout: Psychological Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Accomplishment.
