The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between school bullying and self-esteem in primary school students from a public educational institution in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2025. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 134 students, both male and female, aged between 9 and 11 years. Data was collected using the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory and the School Bullying Questionnaire, both of which were properly validated. The results showed that school bullying was most prevalent at a moderate level, while self-esteem was mostly at a medium and high level. The inferential analysis identified a minimal and statistically significant negative correlation between school bullying and self-esteem (rs = -0.02; p = 0.975). It is concluded that no relationship exists between the two variables, although the relationship is weak, indicating that school bullying is not a determining factor for self-esteem in the students, suggesting that other personal, family, and social conditions influence their emotional development.
