Chronic kidney disease is a public health problem that is becoming more frequent worldwide. This condition considerably affects the kidneys, causing deficiencies in blood filtration, extensively damaging these organs; For this reason, waste and abundant liquids from the blood are stored in the body, causing other problems in the individual's health; Therefore, it is necessary to start renal replacement treatment such as hemodialysis urgently. For this, it is necessary to create a vascular access such as the arteriovenous fistula that facilitates said treatment. The patient, who has this arteriovenous fistula, needs to know the corresponding care for his arteriovenous fistula in order to avoid complications and guarantee its functioning. Therefore, the objective of the work is: Determine the level of knowledge about self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients at the San Juan Masías dialysis center - Lima, 2020.
Resumen
La enfermedad renal crónico es un problema de salud pública que se está haciendo cada día más frecuente a nivel mundial. Este padecimiento afecta considerablemente a los riñones ocasionando deficiencias en la filtración de la sangre dañando extensamente estos órganos; por este motivo, los desechos y líquidos abundantes de la sangre se almacenan en el cuerpo ocasionando otros inconvenientes en la salud del individuo; por lo que, es necesario el comienzo de un tratamiento de sustitución renal como la hemodiálisis de forma urgente. Para esto, es necesario la creación de un acceso vascular como la fistula arteriovenosa que facilita dicho tratamiento. El paciente, portador de esta fistula arteriovenosa, necesita conocer los cuidados correspondientes de su fistula arteriovenosa con la finalidad de evitar complicaciones y garantizar su funcionamiento. Por ello el trabajo tiene como Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimientos sobre el autocuidado de la fístula arteriovenosa en pacientes del centro de diálisis San Juan Masías - Lima, 2020.
